The rescue and rehabilitation work we do here is supported strictly out of our pockets.  No funding comes from the agencies who license us.  Between the food, caging and vet bills, this can get quite costly at times.

There are many ways you can help out orphaned and injured wildlife and homeless chins.

Some of the items below would make great projects for scout troops or class projects.

Since we have such a wide variety of species, and each has its own specific dietary concerns, we do not ask for donations of food.

If you would like to help out with these animals, here is a list of what we need:

  • Money - there is no polite way to say this.  As we stated, this all comes out of our pockets and the bills add up.  Any money at all to help defray costs is greatly appreciated
  • Lumber - If you just completed a home project and have lumber left over we could really use it for new caging and nest boxes.
  • Baby receiving blankets - used are fine, as long as they are clean
  • Dog Kennels, crates, cat carriers- used are fine, as long as they are clean
  • Paper Towels - it is amazing how many paper towels we go through with the rehab babies
  • Cages - all shapes and sizes.  We get such a variety of species through here, that we never know what type of cage we will need next.
  • Nest boxes - to go in both indoor cages and outdoor release cages
  • Incubator (hospital or bird)
  • Can you build?  We are always in need of somebody to help build release cages
  • Critter beds - These can be found at PetsMart and other pet stores.  We launder these daily and so are always in need of enough to rotate beds.  We use both the really small kind on up to the ferret sized beds.
  • Kritter Keepers - again, these can be found at PetsMart and other pet stores.  These are great for keeping "pinky" babies in while they all still need to have their body temperature regulated.
